As expected, Nebraska defensive end Randy Gregory has declared for the upcoming NFL Draft. Gregory is expected to be a top 10 and is on Mel Kipers top 5 big board. With good combine numbers, Gregory could shoot up as high as the #3 slot.
Gregory was a first-team All-Big Ten pick as a junior after leading the Cornhuskers with seven sacks. He was fourth on the team with 54 tackles, including 10 for losses. He also blocked two kicks. He missed or was limited in four games because of injury. However, it wasn’t all about the numbers as many times Gregory was double teamed and the opposing teams would run away from him every time they could.
Randy will surely be missed as the team will be very short handed at the DE position moving into the 2015 season.
