Coach Bo Pelini received a nice little pay raise today as Athletic Directory Tom Osborne announced that Pelini has agreed on a new contract through the 2014 season. Pelini will be paid $1.851 million per year which ranks him sixth overall in the Big 12 conference. Last season, Pelini made $1.1 million per year so he is looking at about a $750,000 pay raise after just one season.

Osborne also announced pay increases for Nebraska’s nine full-time assistant coaches. The increases push Nebraska’s salary pool for assistant coaches to just less than $2 million, the sixth-highest total among Big 12 Conference schools.

Sounds like everyone got taken care of very nicely on the staff!

   I believe that Coach Pelini deserves a good raise. He has made a great move towards removing the stygma from our team.
