On Saturday afternoon, Nebraska running back Marlon Lucky earned offensive MVP in the Shrine football game down in Houston, Texas. Lucky was the leading rusher with 68 yards and one touchdown. Lucky only had seven carries in the game but he made the most of his chances. After the game Lucky had this to say:
“It was a big one for me,” said Lucky, voted the game’s offensive MVP. “I didn’t have a strong year and to just come out and play my game and show what I can do, I seized the opportunity. Now it’s back to training.”
Great game for Lucky and hopefully it will help him move up the draft charts.
Long snapper T.J. O’Leary and offensive guard Matt Slauson also played in the game for the Huskers.
