Got a quick update for everyone this evening. Junior nose tackle Ndamukong Suh and senior offensive guard Matt Slauson have been chosen as second-team All-Big 12 as voted on by the conference’s head coaches. Suh and Slauson lead a group of nine Huskers honored by the conference, including seven players who earned honorable-mention honors.
Roy Helu Jr, Jacob Hickman, Nate Swift, Alex Henery, Larry Asante, Ty Steinkuhler and Zach Potter were the seven players that were selected as honorable-mention.
We also learned this evening that Nebraska and Wyoming have agreed on a three game series that will begin in 2011. The Huskers will travel to Wyoming in 2011 and then the Cowboys will travel to Lincoln in 2013 and 2016. It was once thought that the home game that Wyoming would get would actually be played in Denver at Invesco Field but that deal feel through.
