The Atheltics Department has decided to make some changes to the 2008 and 2010 college football schedules for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The changes for 2008 consist of moving the Western Michigan game from September 27th to August 30th. And then moving the Virginia Tech game to September 27th instead of September 20th. That leaves the Huskers with an open date on September 20th.
As far as the 2010 schedule, three non-conference games have been added. Western Kentucky, Idaho, and South Dakota State will be making a trip to Lincoln. Sure they aren’t the bigger named schools, but you can’t schedule a USC or Virginia Tech for every non-conference game.
What do you all think of the schedule changes? Good or bad?

Interesting to see the challenging opponents the Husker scheduling genuises have lined up for themselves in the near future. WOW!!!…for ’08, Nevada…Ball State…Western Michigan…and the first 5 games at home. VERY IMPRESSIVE!! and for ’10, W. Kentucky, Idaho, and South Dakota State. It’s great to see that with Pelini nothing will change. The “mighty” Hucksters will continue to pad their schedule with inferior creampuffs to find more wins. Way to go. If you want to make your program improve in today’s world, you have to play against the best. Maybe you should consider scheduling a high school in Omaha or Lincoln so that the fans drooling for any Husker victory can feel better about their pathetic program. How about really challenging yourselves against the best? THEN you’ll be able to feel good about yourselves without running up the score against lower division opponents. Better dead than red!

That’s exactly how I feel about you. You are a light weight who would be afraid to go toe to toe with me. The program speaks for itself. Clearly, top ranked teams won’t schedule a powerhouse like Nebraska on purpose. Grow up son; you are petty, shallow, and your diaper needs to be changed.

This schedule is a joke… if we want to get back to where we were, we need to prove that we are ready to play. I think, ideally, an out-of-conference schedule should include two easy wins, one that is a little tougher, and one that we really have to fight for.

As long as u win right now in college football is all that matters.
I like that we got an open date before Vir. Tech next year.
