Dish Network Omaha
With a 5-3 win over Northern Colorado on Tuesday, the Huskers set out to win another one over the Bears on Wednesday. They did just that with a awesome pitching of Drew Bowman. Bowman pitched six innings and allowed only three hits. He was helped by the bat of Andy Gerch who started a big first inning for the Big Red with a two run single. Both Gerch and Ryan Wehrle had two hits in the game. The Husker used the errors by the Bears and went on to take the series and win the game 4-1.
This Huskers team has disappointing as of late, but mid-week wins like this is a good moral boost for the team. They head into one of the biggest series of the year this weekend when they travel to College Station, Texas to take on the Aggies of Texas A&M. The 26th ranked Huskers will take on 18th ranked Aggies on Friday, and th game will be televised on Time Warner ch. 102/ Cox Cable ch.2
