Another bad night for the Husker Basketball team as they lost another Big 12 game against Baylor 69-59. It could have been worse as Baylor missed seven free throws in the last 2:44 of the game.
Leading scorer Aleks Maric, averaging 17.5 a game, was held to 11 points on 3-of-10 shooting. He also committed seven turnovers. The 6-foot-11, 270-pound junior spent the night being hounded by 7-0, 255-pound Mamadou Diene and 7-0, 265-pound Josh Lomers.
NU guard, Charles Richardson said he knew from the beginning of the game that the Huskers really weren’t into the game. They didn’t have that attitude “We are going to win this game” and hopefully play for atleast a NIT bid. Does that come down to coaching or players? I say both, the coach should reconize that during pre-game warmups and and be on the players from the get go.
