Well Nebraska just can’t beat Texas at anything with Mens sports so far this year. Coming up just short in football, and last night just short in basketball. The Longhorns defeated the Huskers 62-61 in front of 10,000+ fans at the Devaney Center.
Freshman standout Kevin Durant lead the Longhorns with 26 points, but didn’t score in the last 11 minutes of the game. But it was the cold shooting Huskers in the second half that couldn’t hold onto their one and two points leads they had in the second half.
Senior Marcus Perry lead the Huskers with 17 points and Aleks Maric helped out with 15 points.ÂÂ
It’s a tough loss as the Huskers could have got a win but wasn’t able to get that extra basket or defensive stop that they needed to late in the second half. Hopefully the team can build on this and win their next game on Saturday when they go on the road to face Kansas State.
