Oh ya, it is finally game time!  One thing I want to know is, is Lee Corso drunk lol?  Did anyone else see him on the sidelines?  Also, why is ABC talking about Reggie Bush? He isn’t even on the team anymore, lets get to the games!!!

GO BIG RED!!!!

NebraskaThe NCAA Clearinghouse on Thursday denied Nebraska basketball recruit Roburt Sallie’s appeal for eligibility, which prevents him from accepting a scholarship and joining the team.  It’s really a bad move on the NCAA preventing a student from his scholarship and attending school.

The NCAA says the reason the denied the appeal is because they did not get paperwork about some courses that Roburt took at Laurinburg (N.C.) Institute nearly two years ago.

Without Sallie, Nebraska will have 11 scholarship players (two under the NCAA limit)

Nebraska BasketballNebraska basketball recruit Roburt Sallie, whose playing status remains in limbo because of an NCAA Clearinghouse investigation of his grades. The Sallie family has hired attorney, Don Jackson of Montgomery, Ala who is trying to get the NCAA to let them know and hopefully get Roburt accepted so he can join the Husker Basketball team.

It doesn’t look good right now, but we can only hope for the best for Sallie and the Husker Basketball team.

The wait is finally over for former Husker pitcher Joba Chamberlain.  After being drafted in the supplemental portion of the first round (selections 31 through 44), it took quite a while for Joba and the Yankees to agree to a contract.

The contract calls for a 1.1 million signing bonus.  Joba will be able to help out his family a ton with that signing bonus.  I don’t like the Yankees myself, but will be rooting for Joba for sure!  Congrats Joba, Husker Nation is proud of you!
