Another former Husker Baseball player has been called up the Major Leagues. Kearney native, Drew Anderson was called up by the Milwaukee Brewers after hitting .333 with one home run and nine RBIs in 16 games at Nashville. He spent most of the season in Class AA Huntsville, where he hit .289 with six homers, 43 RBIs and 18 stolen bases in 108 games.
Anderson was drafted in the 24th round in 2003 after playing three seasons at NU. Anderson had not played above the Class A level before this year.
