The Huskers have added another commitment to their 2006 class. Jay-R Strowbridge, a point guard from Sparkman High School in northern Alabama, originally committed to Murray State but choose not to attend after the head coach took another coaching job at a different school.
Strowbridge averaged 14 points and four rebounds for Sparkman, who reached the state playoffs in Alabama’s largest class with a 32-4 record. Because the spring signing period has passed, Strowbridge’s commitment is non-binding; he’s not officially a scholarship member of the Huskers until classes start in the fall.
